Swimming Queensland 2025 Hancock Prospecting Queensland Championships Event Guide

The 2025 Hancock Prospecting Queensland Championships is a major swimming event hosted by Swimming Queensland. Come and watch Queensland’s best swimming talent compete including world champion Kaylee McKeown.

Tickets go on sale Monday, 8 December 2025 at 9.00am AEST. We recommend purchasing tickets online as this is the fastest method for entry, and we recommend buying them in advance before reaching the venue.

You have the option to either print online tickets, add them to your Apple or Google Wallet or simply display them on your device for scanning. Whilst eftpos is an option at the ticketing entry point, opting for this method will result in slower processing and significant queues are anticipated.

Please note there is no allocated seating at this event.

Online Tickets: $7.50 (save $1 and enjoy faster entry) via Ticketbooth.

Gate Tickets: $8.50 (EFTPOS only, cashless event).

Multi-Pass (10 tickets): $60 - Discounted pass available online only, 10 tickets, shareable within families.

Each ticket is valid for one spectator, for one session only.  There are 13 sessions during the Championships:

• 1 x Relay Day session,
• 6 x Heats sessions, and 
• 6 x Finals sessions. 

Heats and Finals are considered separate sessions, and a ticket is required per spectator for each.

Free Admission:

• Children 15 years and under
• Concession Card Holders* (present valid card)
• Competing Swimmers

*Eligible Concessions: Department of Veterans’ Affairs Card Holder, TPI or Department of Veterans’ Affairs issued Pensioner Concession Card Holder, Commonwealth Senior Health Care Card Holder, Pensioner Concession Card Holder, Companion Card Holder, Health Care Card Holder or Full time Australian Secondary or Tertiary Student Card Holder.

Accessible seating is available for this event. Please chat to the ushers upon arrival and they will assist with finding the best seat for you.

There is limited accessibility parking at the Sleeman Sports Complex for patrons. These spaces are taken on a first come, first served basis. The PWD car parks are located in P1, P2 and P3. There is also accessibility parking on Chandler Road. 

• Soft eskies over 40cm x 40cm x 40cm are not permitted
• No banners/flags permitted
• No external commercial food
• Homemade food, bottled water, tea and coffee in a thermos are permitted. Other liquids are not permitted.

Food and beverage is available for sale at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre café next to reception. Additional concession stand will be operating on Level 4 of the Aquatic Centre. View the table below for the opening hours of the different food outlets.

Homemade food, bottled water with an unbroken factory seal (up to 1.25L personal quantities only) in plastic bottles and tea and coffee in a thermos are permitted.
