Major Event Days
We’ve undertaken detailed planning to ensure events run smoothly at Sleeman Sports Complex, however some disruptions to traffic and parking may be experienced in surrounding areas in the lead-up to, and during major events.
Comprehensive transport and traffic management plans are in place to ensure minimal disruption to local residents and businesses.
Event set up
There will be increased heavy vehicle traffic from 15 June, with trucks transporting equipment to the venue and installation of event-related infrastructure.
Any disruption during this time is likely to be contained to the venue precinct, with the ring road and some car parks closed.
Traffic changes during the event
Parking will be restricted across the Sleeman Sports Complex precinct during event week (17 to 25 July). Overflow parking arrangements have been made at Belmont Shooting Range.
Traffic flow on Old Cleveland Road may also be impacted during peak times, from 7am on event days.
The event is expected to generate standard event day noise.
