100 days to go until the Winter Olympics!
Today marks 100 days to go until the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games with Australia’s top winter athletes are making their final preparations.
Sleeman Sports Complex is proud to be home to Australia’s winter Olympian hopefuls across seven aerial and mogul skiing events who train at the Geoff Henke Olympic Winter Training Centre.
The facility, designed to simulate a snow ski ramp, enables athletes to train for Olympic skiing events throughout the year, with ramps from 8m to 36m in height, catering to various aerial ski disciplines including mogul, triple, double, and single jumps.
Sleeman Sports Complex General Manager Alex Hutchison said the facility further establishes Sleeman Sports Complex as a hub for high performance training.
“Our partnership with OWIA continues to deliver great results against the world’s best aerial and mogul skiiers, and we’re really looking forward to seeing the team compete at the 2026 winter games and beyond,” Mr Hutchison said.
“Our facility not only delivers for the OWIA but puts Sleeman Sports Complex on the map globally as a hub for high performance athletes.”
Triple Olympian Matt Graham n said the Geoff Henke Olympic Winter Training Centre has helped take the Aussies to a new level.
“I’ve been in the sport for a long time now and to watch it evolve from training and jumping into a swamp down on the outskirts of Melbourne, to now training here at the Geoff Henke Winter Olympic Training Centre in Brisbane, it’s game changing for us."
The Australian Moguls team are in camp next week finalising preparations before heading to Europe for the World Cup season, their last block of major competition, final Olympic qualifications, and team selection in early 2026.
