What pools are located at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre?


There are four pools located at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre:

 

  • 50m indoor Olympic pool with an anti-wave moveable bulkhead and the latest timing and scoring technology;
  • Indoor dive pool with 10 metre, 7.5 metre, 5 metre and 0.5 metre diving platforms and boards; 
  • 50m 13 lane outdoor pool; and
  • 25m indoor heated pool with indoor water park and waterslide.

What are the opening hours for the Brisbane Aquatic Centre?
 

Monday – Friday: 5am – 8pm.
Saturday: 6am – 6pm.
Sunday: 8am – 6pm.

When does the waterslide operate?

The waterslide operates Saturday and Sunday's from 1pm to 4pm.

What is Pace at Sleeman?

Pace at Sleeman is a state-of-the-art gym located at the Sleeman Sports Complex inside the Anna Meares Velodrome. Members enjoy access to classes, custom fitness programs and pool access. Learn more here.

How can I hire a court to play badminton?

Three badminton courts are located in the Theatre at the Sleeman Sports Complex.  Courts are available for hire for casual use or by badminton groups. To book, contact our reception on (07) 3131 9680 or info@sleemansports.com.au.


Can I hire out the venue for a particular event or activity?

Sleeman Sports Complex has a number of facilities available for hire. These facilities can be booked by the public for short term recreational use or by event promoters wishing to stage larger events.

Facilities available for hire include:

  • Anna Meares Velodrome;

  • BMX Supercross Track;

  • Brisbane Aquatic Centre;

  • Chandler Arena;

  • Chandler Cabins & Lodges;

  • Chandler Velodrome;

  • Chandler Theatre; and

  • Venue grounds and venue car parks.

Can I host a function, formal, conference or event at the Sleeman Sports Complex?

The Sleeman Sports Complex has a number of facilities available for function hire including the Anna Meares Veldrome, Aquatic Centre Pool Deck, Aquatic Lounge, Arena and Theatre. To view these spaces and enquire about booking, please visit our Venue Functions page.

Is there accommodation at the Sleeman Sports Complex?

The Sleeman Sports Complex has onsite budget accommodation in the Chandler Cabins & Lodges. The accommodation facility has 113 beds available (57 cabin and 56 dorm style) and is perfect for sporting or community groups, school and/or holiday activity camps or for those needing a place to stay overnight. Are there water bubblers at the Sleeman Sports Complex?

Water bubblers are available in the Aquatic Centre, the Anna Meares Velodrome and outside the Arena. 


Are there parents’ rooms and baby changing facilities at the Sleeman Sports Complex?

There are no parents’ rooms at the complex.  Baby changing facilities are located in both male and female change facilities in the Aquatic Centre.  Suitable areas are set up in the Theatre and Arena when events are held.


Do you have somewhere I can go to pray or mediate during events?

A room can be set up for prayer and meditation if requested by the event hirer.


Do you have ATMs?

There are no ATM's available on site and due to COVID Safe practices all payments are cashless.


Do you have First Aid facilities?

First Aid facilities are available at the Sleeman Sports Complex.


Where can I go to collect lost property?

Lost Property enquiries can be made by calling Reception on (07) 3131 9680.

Can I park at The Sleeman Sports Complex?

The Complex has approximately 1100 car parks available onsite. Car parks are managed by venue staff with the venue reserving the right to charge vehicles a fee of $10.00 for event parking.

Spectator and general parking can be found in P1, P2 and P3 with PWD car parks in each area. There is no public parking available on Chandler or Sleeman Roads.  


How do I enter into the Sleeman Sports Complex?

The venue has three entrances:
 

  1. ​Tilley Road 1 (Main Entrance);
  2. Tilley Road 2; and
  3. Old Cleveland Road.

 


Is there accessibility parking at the venue?

 

Limited PWD car parks are located in P1, P2 and P3. There is also accessibility parking on Chandler Road. These car parks are taken on a first come, first served basis.


Is there a bus stop at the Sleeman Sports Complex?

A bus stop is located at the northern end of the Complex on the Ring Road outside P3.  Visit Translink for timetable information.


Where is the Park  'n' Ride area located at the Sleeman Sports Complex?

A Park ‘n’ Ride facility is located in P3 and allows public transport access to Carindale Shopping Centre and the Brisbane CBD. Visit Translink for timetable information.


Is there a taxi rank at The Sleeman Sports Complex?

There is no taxi rank at The Sleeman Sports Complex.

Are accessible toilets at The Sleeman Sports Complex?

Accessible toilets are located throughout the Complex. Please see the friendly event staff inside the venue to locate the closest accessible toilets. 


Is there wheelchair access to all seating areas?

All designated accessible seating is located without the need to utilise the stairs. Please Contact Us prior to arrival to determine your best accessible route.


Where is the accessible parking at the venue? 
 

Limited PWD car parks are located in P1, P2 and P3. There is also accessibility parking on Chandler Road. These car parks are taken on a first come, first served basis.


How do I purchase a PWD ticket for an event?


For ticketed events at the Sleeman Sports Complex, accessible tickets can be purchased directly through the ticketing agent for the event. If you would like to book an accessible ticket, please contact the ticketing agent or event promoter directly.

What food and drink can I bring into The Sleeman Sports Complex?

Patrons are not permitted to bring in food or beverages from commercial outlets. However, homemade food, sealed bottled water and sealed non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles are permitted. Food and beverages can also be purchased at the on-site café in the Aquatic Centre.

If you are hosting an event (eg. birthday party), please note that self-catering is not permitted.  For all enquiries, please contact our catering partner Australian Catering Services at sleeman@australiancatering.com.au


Can I bring in an esky?

Soft eskies are permitted so long as they are within the permitted bag size limits (40cm x 40cm x 40cm). Hard eskies are not permitted into The Sleeman Sports Complex.


Can I bring pool toys to the complex?

Pool toys such as beach balls and floatation toys are fine to bring in for use in the 25m pool.  If you are unsure of allowable items, please call reception on (07) 3131 9620.


Can I bring in my camera?

Cameras with a lens length no greater than 200mm are permitted into the Sleeman Sports Complex. The use of photographic, video or audio equipment for commercial purposes is not permitted. Video and/or audio recorders, commercial digital equipment, camera tripods and/or monopods may be refused entry.


Can I bring in spray on sunscreen?

Sunscreen in aerosol cans is not permitted. However, sunscreen in non-aerosol pump containers is permitted.


Do I need a ticket to attend an event at the Sleeman Sports Complex?

Tickets are dependant on the event. Please check your event listing on the What's On page to find out where tickets can be puchased if needed.
