Vaccination
From 17 December 2021, any visitors aged 16 years and over will need to show proof of being fully vaccinated (or a valid exemption) if attending the Chandler Theatre or dining in at the Aquatic Café.
However, there is no requirement to show proof of vaccination in order to access other parts of the precinct including the Aquatic Centre, Chandler Arena, Anna Meares Velodrome, Pace at Sleeman gym, SX Track or Outdoor Velodrome.

What COVID-19 precautions are you taking?
Whether you’re new to Sleeman or a regular visitor, please follow the COVID-Safe principles while attending an event. These include:

  • Stay home if you’re unwell;
  • Check in with the Check in Qld app on arrival;
  • Masks are required to be worn indoors unless partaking in strenuous exercise . More information on mask requirements is available on the Queensland Health website;
  • Keep your distance where possible; and
  • Wash or sanitise your hands regularly.

When accessing the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, for the safety of our staff, customers and other guests during this time the below additional conditions of use apply:
 

  • Patrons must check in with the Check in Qld app on arrival - Customer Service Staff can sign you in manually if you do not own a smart phone;

  • Masks must be worn in all indoor areas unless strenuously exercising;

  • Practice exceptional personal hygiene, and please stay home if you are unwell or suffering any flu-like symptoms;

  • Maintain physical distancing where possible; and

  • Normal entry fees apply; 20 Pool Visit and 10 Class Visit passes will be accepted.
     

Pace at Sleeman is open to members for gym access and a variety of fitness classes. Please note bookings are required for gym sessions and classes - click here for more information.
 
CAN I PARTICIPATE IN CASUAL PACE AT SLEEMAN CLASSES?
Pace classes are open to members only as bookings are required. Please visit the Pace website for more information on becoming a member.

WHAT DO I NEED TO GET INTO THESE VENUES?
Proof you have checked in to the venue on the Check-In Qld app, proof of your vaccination or exemption status (preferably linked in the Check-In Qld app) and if applicable, your event ticket.

WHAT DOES FULLY VACCINATED MEAN?
Fully vaccinated refers to having two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. It does not include a booster shot or a two-week wait after the second dose.

HOW DO I SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION or EXEMPTION?
Proof of full vaccination or exemption can be made via:

  • COVID-19 Digital Certificate – this can be linked to the Check-In Qld app and is available on your Medicare account via MyGov – For instructions on linking your digital certificate to the check in app click here;
  • Immunisation History Statement – from the Australian Immunisation Register (this can be requested through MyGov or by calling 1800 653 800); and
  • An International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for overseas travel.
 

DO CHILDREN NEED TO SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION?
Individuals 16 years and over are required to show proof of vaccination to gain entrance into these locations.

I HAVE MY FIRST DOSE AND HAVE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY SECOND, CAN I ENTER?
No. From December 17 2021, all patrons wishing to enter the Chandler Theatre or eat in at the Aquatic Café must be double vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration. Anyone attempting to enter must be fully vaccinated or have an approved medical exemption will be refused entry.

I HAVE TICKETS TO AN UPCOMING EVENT AT THE CHANDLER THEATRE AND AM NOT CONSIDERED FULLY VACCINATED, WHO DO I CONTACT FOR A REFUND?
All ticketing enquiries are to be directed to the ticketing agent – please contact the event organiser directly for information.

Please follow the current Queensland Government mask advice. Currently, masks must be worn in all indoor areas unless partaking in strenuous exercise.

You will notice the venue staff performing more regular cleaning of high touch point areas and changing room spaces.

You will see lifeguards providing information and advice to encourage social distancing around the venue.

Some spaces will be restricted to a maximum number of people- as indicated by signage at the entry to these spaces. When a space is at capacity you will be required to wait outside until space becomes available.

Hand sanitiser will be made available in common areas and we encourage all patrons to shower before their swim using soap and warm water.
